Work with me

Thanks so much for your interest in How to Bogotá, I hope you’ve found it useful and easy to navigate! The main purpose of this blog is to help expats in Bogotá get settled and work out the essential things they need to know about living here. Readers are often grateful for referrals to products or services which they will find useful. People also ask for things like restaurant and hotel recommendations, information about tours, and schools in Bogota.

Why should you advertise on How to Bogotá?

The number of visitors to the blog and page-views has been steadily increasing over the last 2.5 years. The blog also ranks highly in Google for a number of Bogotá-related search terms.

Do you offer a product, service or experience in Bogotá?

Would you like to sponsor a post on How to Bogotá which features your business, or publicize a free giveaway which would provide a mutual benefit to your business and How to Bogotá readers? Are you a tour company or a hotel that would like me to review your business to help you get more clients?

If so, get in touch! Maybe you’ve just opened a new restaurant, or offer unique tours that you can’t find anywhere else. Maybe you provide a really useful service, such as a domestic cleaning agency or a price comparison website, and you’d like to get the word out there about your start-up.

What’s the cost of a sponsored post and what’s included?

I charge $100 US dollars for a sponsored post on the blog, payable via PayPal or bank transfer into my Colombian or UK bank account. Please write to me via the contact form and tell me a bit about your business. Before writing the post, I would like to be able to sample the service, product or experience that you offer so I can write an honest review about it.

Based on my experience, I would then write a post of at least 500 words about your company, talking about your business, why I like it, and why How to Bogotá readers should check it out. This post would then be published and displayed among the top 5 posts on the homepage for at least a month, shared across all of How to Bogotá’s social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, Instagram and Pinterest), and be re-shared at least twice more during the following 12-month period. You can send over pictures or videos to be included in the post, though I will have the final say on which ones to use.

NGOs and Charities

If you work for an NGO or voluntary organisation (non-profit) and would like to raise awareness of your work and encourage donations or attract volunteers, there will be no charge for a sponsored post, but if possible, I would like to visit the organisation to find out a bit more about your work, to help to inform my readers.

Affiliates

Are you a language school, a teacher, a realtor/estate agent or another company which could benefit from referrals? I often have readers asking for referrals to Spanish teachers, asking for information about buying property in Colombia and looking for legal advice. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss developing a business relationship.

Hire me!

I am an experienced blogger and have been living in Colombia for over three years now. Please get in touch if you would like to solicit a piece related to Colombia for your publication or blog.

If you’d like to discuss how we could work together, contact me and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
